My Current Favourite Writing Supplies

*I will add links to items, but please note that some prices have increased. Like in the case of the planner for example.*

Fun writing supplies/items make writing a great deal more fun for me. Here’s what I’ve been enjoying lately when I sit down to write or blog:

My cute MacBook Pro 13” case. I purposefully purchased a smaller laptop this time around so that it’d be easier for me to tote around from place to place if desired. That said, buying a protective case for said laptop seemed like the next logical step. I chose this one because I liked the pastel colours and fact that it came with a purple (my favourite colour) soft case. I was worried it wouldn’t fit, but all turned out well!

My portable wireless Bluetooth typewriter keyboard. I’ve talked before about how I’m one of those weirdos who loves the sound of clicky keyboards. To feed this obsession I decided to splurge a bit and buy myself this keyboard as a birthday gift for myself. I’m so glad that I did. It doesn’t look like the light pink pastel one I bought is currently in stock, but if you click the attached link it will bring you to the model I purchased. This keyboard is wonderfully loud and fun to type with. Everything I type seems just a tad more important when working with it. Clickety-clack here to hear what it sounds like.

My offensive planner (Warning: foul language in the link). I fully covered up a naughty word in the above picture, but you’ll be able to see it in full if you click the link. I use a professional planner for work and this one for all the other stuff in my personal life. Like keeping track of birthdays, lists of films I want to watch, ideas for blog posts, bills I need to pay, dinners to prep for, plans with friends (haha, plans with friends. We’re still in a pandemic), etc. I am someone very different outside of work and can have a gnarly and often dark sense of humour. I’m not apologizing for it; I’m just stating a fact. If foul language is something that offends you then this planner is not for you, but it sure gives me a good laugh when it comes to keeping my life in order.

Key pens. I bought these nifty pens as gifts. I had no idea if they’d be good or not, but was pleasantly surprised to find that not only do all of them work, but they’re fine-tipped and perfect to write in my planner with. I wrote all my Christmas cards with one of them this year and am just a little bit happier to look at my pen holder full of them.

Van Houtte Vanilla Hazelnut and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle coffee for my Keurig. One of my Christmas presents in 2020 consisted of different types of coffees to try in my Keurig. These two in particular have become favourites of mine to enjoy when writing. Raspberry flavoured hot chocolate is something I already liked, so it’s probably no shock that I also enjoy chocolate raspberry flavoured coffee. I have a weirder reason for liking the Vanilla Hazelnut so much. I miss attending concerts and for whatever reason the scent of this one reminds me of the outside of a dingy venue after a show. You know, when you’re waiting in chilly weather for your ride home to show up? Everyone around you is smoking cigarettes under the streetlights, either chatting or laughing. It’s a bit sketch, but you don’t care too much because you just saw a great gig or the band is waiting with all of you to make sure your rides actually show up (special shout out to Social Code).

There’s that. My current favourites.
